Mico Palanca passed away at the age of 41 and his family members have confirmed the tragic news.
He worked quietly as an actor for many years, appearing on teleseryes such as “Bagani” and “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit."
However, he made headlines back in 2008 when he and superstar girlfriend Bea Alonzo broke up.
In an interview with YES! Magazine, published in July 2013, the actress opened up on why her relationship with Mico ended.
According to Bea, they broke up because they were incompatible with each other for different aspects.
One of their differences was their approach to their showbiz careers.
"Like, iba siya towards work, iba ako towards work. Ako, passion ko 'to… So hindi niya ko naiintindihan," Bea said.
Their nine-year age gap was also a big factor in their breakup.
"Hindi talaga kami magkaintindihan. He was so much older than I was, so iba 'yung priorities niya,” she revealed.
Another reason for the split was that they had different hobbies and they could not get along with each other’s group of friends.
"We'd always drink, 'yong mga ganyan, and it wasn't my world. Like, I don't like to go out. Tapos iba 'yong friends niya.
"Ay talaga, nosebleed ako sa lahat ng mga ano nila! Kaya siguro hindi rin sila mayadong nagri-reachout sa akin, kasi nosebeled talaga ako sa mundo nila," Bea explained.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Mico’s sister posted on social media about his death.
Mico Palanca was an actor in the Philippines and the younger brother of actor Bernard Palanca. He was seen on ABS-CBN shows like Gimik 2010, Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Love Is Only In The Movies, and May Bukas Pa.
