In her message, Maggie described how the loss left a deep ache in her heart, yet she also shared how her faith gives her comfort. She said that while nothing compares to holding Micah’s hand or hearing his voice, there is a quiet and unexplainable joy in believing that he is now with Jesus and truly happy. She recalled Micah’s bright smile, his laughter, his love for dancing, and his joyful habit of greeting everyone he met, saying she can easily imagine him doing the same in Heaven.

Maggie also shared how she continues to ask Micah for help and strength, remembering how loving and thoughtful he was even as a young child. She spoke about the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and how Micah loved singing Ave Maria after prayers, once calling Mama Mary “the goodest girl in the whole entire world.” Her post ended with a message of hope and longing, as she expressed her belief that Micah is now in Heaven, close to Mary and Jesus, and that they will be together again someday.

I can picture your smile that would light up the room. I can hear you laughing and screaming as you run with your arms out. I can see you dancing and spinning in circles. I know you are running into the arms of every Saint you meet with that big grin and saying, ‘Hi, I’m Micah.’ It’s easy to picture these things because this is what you did when you were alive on earth.
Please continue to visit me and help mama keep going. You were always such a good helper and eager to make me smile. And I will keep asking for your help. My boy. I am so proud of you.
Yesterday was the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. I was reminded of how much you loved singing the Ave Maria after our prayers and how you said ‘Mama Mary is the goodest girl in the whole entire world.’
