Based on the statement of Magda Victoria Acosta, president of the National Gender Commission of the Colombian Judiciary, Estupinan was shot and killed on May 15, as reported by CNN World.
Acosta also mentioned during a news conference that the suspect was disguised as a delivery man.
The suspect shot the 22-year-old victim at point blank range in her home when she opened her door.
Estupinan was often seen on social media on her travel photos and her daily life routine, usually by the pool or at the gym.
Local authorities are now working on a video that was taken from a security camera near Estupinan's home.
The footage showed a man carrying what seemed to be a gift was running away from the crime scene after a gunshot and a scream.
“According to what we have been able to verify, he indeed made some threats and there were complaints against him. We are taking all urgent actions to establish what happened and bring those responsible for this act to Justice,” said Colonel William Quintero, commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cucuta.
It can be recalled that just recently, on May 13, beauty influencer Valeria Marquez in Mexico was shot during a livestream.
She was only 23 years old.

Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspect even grabbed a bag and mobile phone from the suspects. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.
In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
