Former US President Joe Biden, 82, has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer.

The diagnosis was revealed in a statement from his office released on Sunday, May 18.
The office noted that the cancer had spread to the 82-year-old politician’s bones. Biden and his family are said to be reviewing treatment options.

Trump, 78, took to Truth Social to post a short statement expressing sadness over his predecessor’s condition.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis,” wrote Trump, who also mentioned his wife, US First Lady Melania Trump.
Furthermore, Trump sent earnest wishes to Biden’s wife and family. He also wished for his political rival’s quick recovery.
“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Republican Trump penned.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., better known as Joe Biden, is the 46th president of the United States. He earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968 and was admitted to the Delaware bar the following year. In 1970, he ran for the 4th District Seat on the New Castle County Council and won the elections. He represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2017, he served as 47th vice president under Barack Obama. In 2020, he ran for president against then U.S. President Donald Trump and won in a hugely contentious election.

Biden took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a letter announcing his decision. In another post, Biden lauded Harris and urged Democrats to support her in the 2024 election. Barack Obama, Barbra Streisand, Cher, and Cardi B are among those who shared their two cents on the announcement.
Donald Trump then made history as the second US leader to make a great political comeback at the White House. President Trump won several battleground states, assuring of more than 270 electoral votes, which is needed to win the US presidency.
