The number of deaths from the collapsed ceiling of a well-known nightclub in the Dominican Republic has risen to 113, according to reports.

In a report by Pia Arcangel on GMA 7's 'SAKSI,' aside from the fatalities, 155 others were also injured.

Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing, but authorities admitted they are unsure about the exact number of people inside the nightclub when the tragedy happened.

In a previous report by KAMI, at least 79 people died and more than 160 were injured after the roof of a famous nightclub fell in the Dominican Republic early Tuesday, according to the Dominican National Police. The casualties included a famous lady performer named Nelsy Cruz and a former MLB pitcher, Octavio Dotel, according to ESPN. In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' the tragic incident happened at around 1 AM during the performance of Rubby Perez, who also died from the incident. The Jet Set nightclub was reportedly swarmed by people and other personalities because of a merengue concert.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
