At least 79 people lost their lives and over 160 were injured when the roof of a popular nightclub collapsed in the Dominican Republic early Tuesday, based on information from the Dominican National Police.
Among the casualties were well-known lady performer Nelsy Cruz and former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel, according to ESPN.
In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' the tragic incident happened around 1 AM during the performance of Rubby Perez, who also died in the incident.
