Authorities in Houston have taken three teenage girls into custody after they allegedly conspired to attack their mother in response to having their Wi-Fi access cut off.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that the incident unfolded late Sunday night in a southwest Houston neighborhood, ABC13 Houston reported.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene to discover a woman who had been physically assaulted by her three daughters, aged 14, 15, and 16.

According to officials, the girls allegedly armed themselves with kitchen knives and pursued their mother throughout the residence and onto the street in an attempt to stab her.

The sheriff also stated that the mother was struck with a brick during the altercation.
In the midst of the chaos, the grandmother intervened in an attempt to shield the woman but was knocked down in the process.
Fortunately, neither the mother nor the grandmother sustained serious injuries, Gonzalez confirmed.
Following the attack, deputies arrested the three teenagers and charged them with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
They have since been booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, where they remain in custody pending further legal proceedings.
