A house that serves as a shelter for homeless people in São Paulo, Brazil, was deliberately set on fire.
CCTV footage shared by GMA Integrated News captured a man on a bicycle roaming around the area at around 12:30 AM.
The man, who appeared suspicious, stayed in front of the house for a couple of minutes and seemed to be engaged in some activity.

Just over a minute after, fire started in front of the house where the man stood. It only took half an hour before the house was ablaze into a huge torch of fire.
The police authorities and firefighters were shaken by the incident because the people sleeping inside the house were homeless people.
The house was put up by an organization and it served as a safe place for them.
Over 20 people were sleeping inside the house when it caught fire. Four of them aged 50-61 years old didn't make it out alive, while 8 were injured.
According to the fire department, 6 bedridden individuals almost got themselves trapped inside. Thankfully, responders were quick to act.
A 42-year-old suspect was arrested for the crime, although his motive was yet to be discovered.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
