Thankfully, both of them were safe.
According to the bus company, their driver will undergo defensive driving lessons to avoid the same incident in the future.
In a report in GMA 7's 'SAKSI,' because of the incident, the bump on the road has also been fixed.

In a previous report by KAMI, on Christmas day, a family of four was found dead inside their lakeside home in Wakefield, New Hampshire, CBS News Boston reported. In another viral local report, a businessman kidnapped in Quezon City was found dead in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. In an interview with 24-Oras, one of the suspects admitted the victim was strangled and had a cellophane wrapped around his face. Afterwards, the killed businessman was put inside a water drum, and buried in San Jose Del Monte. It's the same kidnap-slay crime committed against Ruby Rose Barrameda in 2007 and as it turned out, the alleged mastermind behind the two crimes was believed to be the same person.
