South Korean actor Lee Dong-gun, 45, revealed a health concern during the latest episode of SBS’s variety show My Little Old Boy. The actor visited the hospital after suffering from recurring eye inflammation for over a year, a symptom the doctor found unusual. Following tests and X-ray results, the doctor suggested that Lee may be suffering from ankylosing spondylitis, a rare inflammatory disease that can cause the spine to become less flexible and, in severe cases, lead to bones fusing together. The findings were further supported by severe inflammation discovered in Lee’s sacroiliac joint.
