Behind her, the first explosion was seen, followed by several loud blasts and thick smoke.

Out of shock, the news team ran to find cover.

Moments later, the lady reporter called for the cameraman to return and capture footage of the scene.

According to Syrian officials, the attack happened just a few hours after a drone strike in the same area of the capital.

Reports stated that three people were killed and 34 were injured.

The airstrike in Damascus reportedly shows an escalation in Israel's campaign, which, according to their claims, aims to protect the Druze religious minority and push Islamic militants away from their border.

Following days of intense clashes, Syrian officials and Druze leaders announced a new ceasefire on Wednesday to prevent further damage to Syria’s political transition after years of war.

They also called for military intervention from neighboring Israel.
