Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state’s chief minister, said that rescue teams were already dispatched to the scene, describing the crash a “very sad news.”

According to district tourism official Rahul Chaubey, the helicopter crash was most likely due to the bad weather.

Traditionally, pilgrims go to the Kedarnath temple during the summer. The site stands at an altitude of 3,584 meters (11,759 feet).

Pilgrims are people who travel to a holy place for religious reasons. They often make these journeys to show their faith, pray, or seek spiritual growth. For example, many pilgrims in different religions visit sacred temples, churches, or other religious sites that are important to their beliefs.
