One of the four missing Filipinos in Myanmar has been confirmed dead, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
This comes after the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar that claimed thousands of lives.
As reported by TV 5's 'Gud Morning Kapatid,' the Department of Foreign Affairs said the family of the victim has already been informed about the tragic news.
Out of respect for the family, no additional details were shared regarding the incident.

The deceased Filipino victim was identified as Francis Aragon, a teacher, who was residing in one of the buildings that collapsed during the earthquake.
Meanwhile, search and rescue operations are still ongoing for the remaining three missing Filipinos who were also residing in the same building.
In a social media post, Aragon's brother, Alvin Aragon also announced the passing of his brother in a heartbreaking Facebook post.
"Ipinapaalam po nmin na nakita na po ung kpatid nmin at masakit man sa amin tangapin n ksma n sya ni Lord ngaun...we are currently mourning and grieving for the lost of our youngest brother....we thank God for all the grace, comfort encouragement and stenght He has given this past weeks sa aming family..."

A footage shared by GMA Integrated News showed a Filipino calling out the names of the two teachers. He was doing it at the site of some rubble that was left out of the condominium unit where they were staying. According to the report, the spot was chosen by the fellow teacher due to the brown jacket, identified to belong to the couple.
Additionally, former Miss Tourism Myanmar Silimee is among those killed in the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar last week. The tragic news was confirmed by the Miss Tourism Myanmar organization in a statement released on social media on Wednesday. The organization said the beauty queen was found dead by rescue teams in a collapsed condominium. Silimee represented the said country in the Miss Tourism World 2018 competition.
