Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu was finally laid to her final resting place just over a month after she passed away.

In a report by VnExpress International, Hsu was laid to rest at Chin Pao San Cemetery in New Taipei on Saturday, March 15. Her family and relatives braved the rain to pay their final respects to the “Meteor Garden” female lead.

According to an article by AsiaOne, all family members were reportedly present, including her South Korean DJ husband Koo Jun-yup, who carried the urn during the burial rites.

While her two children Hsi-lin and Hsi-yueh were in attendance, their father Wāng Xiaofei – Hsu’s ex-husband – was not seen.

Hsu’s mother, along with the older members of the family, stayed in the car during the proceedings, as the traditional customs discourage them from attending burials. Dee Hsu, the late actress's younger sister, remained by their mother's side throughout the ceremony.

DJ Koo and Dee Hsu’s husband, Mike Hsu, delivered the late actress’ ashes by themselves to the final resting place.

Barbie Hsu was best known for her role as 'Shan Cai' in the 2001 Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden," where she starred alongside Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan. She passed away on February 2. According to reports, Barbie Hsu succumbed to pneumonia at 48 years old after getting it during their Japan tour for the Chinese New Year period.

Aside from Hsu, there were other Asian celebrities who died recently.

South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has recently passed away at the age of 24 - Yonhap News Agency reported that she was found dead at her home by a friend who had plans to meet with her on Sunday - The police likewise gave a statement regarding the K-drama star’s demise - Kim Sae-ron was known for her roles in “The Man from Nowhere” and “Bloodhounds,” among others.

Meanwhile, more details about the untimely demise of South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron have been disclosed. As per The Korea Times, Seoul's Seongdong Police Station said there were no signs of forced entry or foul play, nor did they find a will or note left by the K-drama star.

Lee Joo Sil, a veteran South Korean actress, has tragically passed away at 80 years old. According to Koreaboo, Lee Joo-sil died on February 2 at 10:20 a.m. while receiving treatment for her illness. Her agency, 1230culture, confirmed the unfortunate news to Soompi with a statement that partly read, “Approximately three months ago, actress Lee Joo Sil’s health declined, and she was diagnosed with stomach cancer after an examination from the hospital.” The veteran South Korean actress starred in numerous projects including “Train to Busan” and “Squid Game 2.”
