A man from India narrowly escaped being cremated alive by accident.

Authorities reported that he suddenly regained consciousness as his body was placed on the cremation pyre after spending three hours in a freezer.

The near-tragic mistake occurred allegedly due to the doctors' failure to conduct a thorough postmortem examination.

As a result of the incident, three doctors and one medical officer were suspended; sadly, the man passed away the following day.

In another viral news story, a woman from Carcar, Cebu, who died because of eclampsia a week after giving birth to her child, was allegedly taken advantage of after getting buried in the cemetery. According to a report by GMA News, a gravedigger reportedly noticed the coffin lying outside of its grave a day after getting buried. When they checked the woman inside, she was no longer wearing undergarments, and her upper dress was lifted up.
