South Korean actor-singer Lee Ji Han, 24, died yesterday, October 30, in South Korea, according to CNN Philippines.

He was one of the 154 people who died in the stampede in Itaewon, where Halloween festivities were being held.

According to Soompi, his agency 935 Entertainment confirmed the tragedy.

The agency also released a statement on Twitter, confirming that Lee Ji Han has passed away. Due to the tragic stampede, the South Korean government has declared a national day of mourning for the people who died in the incident, with Halloween parties and events canceled for that day.

Lee Ji Han is best known for appearing on “Produce 101 Season 2” with Park Hee Seok, Kim Do Hyun, and Cho Jin Hyung. Those cast members have also posted on social media about the tragedy, recalling their memories with the star. He was also a cast member of drama “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day” in 2019.

Other Asian actors who passed away in recent years include South Korean stars Kim Mi-soo and Song Yoo Jung.

Korean actress Song Yoo Jung died on January 23, 2021. She was the star in the hit drama series 'School 2017' and also in the romance 'Dear My Name'. She was even among those who joined in the making of the music video of iKon's 'Goodbye Road’. There was speculation that she took her own life but it was not confirmed by her family and the authorities.
