South Korean dancer Yoon Mirae has passed away at the age of 35, news that has only recently come to light, leaving fans and colleagues mourning her loss.

The news was shared by cheerleader Kim Hana through social media on March 17. In an emotional post, Kim wrote, “Mirae sister, my teammate and roommate for over 10 years, has embarked on a very long journey ahead of us.”

Kim went on to describe Mirae’s personality and the things she loved, writing, “Because she always loved all things glamorous, beautiful, and joyful,” and added, “I hope the beginning of her new journey is sparkling and lively. I invite everyone who knew her to share a final farewell.”

She also expressed her hope that people would remember Mirae not only with grief but also with warmth. “I hope the memories we hold are filled not only with sorrow but also with warmth and joy,” she wrote.

Kim further explained the reason behind her message, saying, “No matter how many times I think about it, all I can wish for is that, instead of being filled only with sorrow, this time will be filled with joyful memories and the warmth of many people. That is why I decided to add these words along with the obituary notice.”

The obituary she shared included details such as the wake and funeral dates, listed for March 2026. Along with a photo of the funeral hall, Kim also wrote, “My beautiful Mirae, I’ll see you again later,” deepening the sense of sorrow felt by those who knew the late dancer.

Yoon Mirae had been scheduled to debut in 2019 as a member of a team called Swalla, but the project was canceled and the debut did not take place. Despite this setback, Mirae continued to pursue her passion for performing and later worked as a dancer, where she became known for pouring her passion into her performances on stage.
