The Korea Times reported, citing the Korean Actors Association, that Yoon died at 9:54 a.m. at Severance Hospital in Seoul, with family members and close acquaintances at her side. Reports of her death had circulated earlier in the day before her passing was officially confirmed several hours later.

According to a report by AllKpop, Yoon’s health struggles began in 2022 when she collapsed during a business trip to the United Kingdom following her performance in the stage play Hamlet. Later that year, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite the serious nature of her illness, Yoon chose to pursue natural and dietary therapies rather than conventional medical treatments.

At the time, she requested to be discharged from the hospital, saying, “Even if I live just one day, I want to live as myself.” According to AllKpop, she followed healing methods of her own choosing, which included mugwort moxibustion, health drinks, walking, and sharing meals with close friends. These choices highlighted her determination to live life on her own terms despite the illness.

Throughout her career, Yoon Seok Hwa appeared in a wide range of theater and musical projects, earning acclaim for her performances and contributions to the arts.
