Eumir Marcial, dineny mga akusasyon ng asawa; kaibigan lang daw babae sa picture

- The Olympian also said that his wife began suspecting when she found a wallet in the car allegedly belonging to his friend

Eumir Marcial faced the press on Saturday and denied the allegations made by his wife, Princess Marcial, against him.

He noted that his relationship with his wife was rocky.

The Olympian said that he was not hurting his wife and that the alleged bruises of his wife resulted from an accident because he was trying to protect himself from her.

"Kung sinasaktan ko siya, do you think na ganun lang 'yung mangyayari sa kanya? Mayroon siyang pasa sa paa, mayroon siyang ganito. Aksidenteng nangyari 'yun dahil pinoprotektahan ko 'yung sarili ko kaya nangyari ‘yun," as per the video shared by 89.9 Brigada Zamboanga.

He also said that it was he who is actually being hurt by his wife, and that their family and friends allegedly know about it.

"Hindi na maayos 'yung relasyon [namin] dahil parati kaming nagaaway, parati niya akong sinasaktan,” he said.

"Kung dumating man kami sa punto ngayon, alam nila na mangyayari ito dahil sa ugali niya," the Olympian added.

He then explained that the woman whom his wife suspect was just his friend.

"'Yung babae na nakita nila sa picture, kaibigan ko 'yun na isang beses na pinuntahan ko kasi taga-Zamboanga siya eh. Nagkita kami sa Makati, taga-Zamboanga pala, nagkakilala, nag-usap, and then 'yun, nagsama. Actually, nung nagsama kami, may kasama siyang kaibigan, may kasama din ako," he explained.

Eumir Marcial is a Filipino boxer who has represented the Philippines in numerous worldwide competitions. He recently won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The athlete will receive millions of pesos and other incentives for his incredible performance.

As previously reported by KAMI, Eumir Marcial won the bronze medal for the Philippines at the Tokyo Olympics. He was beaten by Oleksandr Khyzhniak of Ukraine in his final match.

The fighter also received support from fellow athlete Hidilyn Diaz, who cheered for him to go for the gold medal before his last fight. Hidilyn, a weightlifter, won the Philippines’ first-ever Olympic gold medal.
