The grandfather of Carlos Yulo, has expressed his thoughts and sentiments with regards to the homecoming parade of Caloy, along with other Olympians.
He claimed that according to the father of Caloy, someone texted the father of Carlos, allegedly telling them not to go.
However, when asked who texted the father of Carlos, he said that he did not know who, then added with uncertainty, that it seemed it was Caloy.
As to his excitement, he affirmed that he was excited to see the parade.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics' men's floor exercise and men's vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
It can be recalled that Carlos, along with the rest of the Philippine Olympic Team were given a Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony at the Malacañang Palace. After arriving at the Villamor Airbase around 7:20PM onboard a Philippine Airlines chartered flight where they had a brief respite, they were immediately brought to Malacañang. The President and the First Lady, along with their two sons, were on hand to welcome the Pinoy Olympians to the palace. The 2024 Paris Olympics is considered one of the most successful Olympic campaigns of the Philippines where the country was able to get two gold medals, courtesy of Carlos, and two bronze medals, courtesy of Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.
Meanwhile, the teachers of Carlos Yulo had already spoken about the true attitude and character of the Olympian. All of them have nothing but kind words for him. His science teacher said that the Adamsonians were all so proud of him. Caloy's English teacher noted that one thing that really helped Caloy was his humility, underscoring that he was never "mayabang."
