Gilas Cadet Ricci Rivero finally broke his silence after his video went viral wherein he was seen shouting at a female fan who requested for a selfie.
KAMI learned that the basketball player took to Twitter to air his side and explain what happened.
Fashion Pulis shared a screenshot of his official statement about the issue. Ricci apologized to the girl in the video and everyone who were affected and disappointed.
"I had a bad game, it was a frustrating loss. This was during my first game out of and against La Salle. Dugouts are our only private place to pour our emotions seconds after an important game, 'twas just the most inappropriate time and place for a selfie.
"Hence, I still own up to this unacceptable behavior. To the girl in the video and to all that are affected and are disappointed, I am a work in progress and I sincerely apologize for my imperfections. Thank you po"
His apology earned mixed reactions among netizens. Most of them were disappointed with his attitude but some also think it was a very inappropriate time for a selfie.
