Hidilyn Diaz, the country’s first Olympic gold medalist, recently shared in an interview her wedding plans, as well as her dream destination for the honeymoon.

She may now be planning for one of the most important events in her life - her wedding to her fiance, longtime boyfriend and coach, Julius Naranjo.
The two have just been engaged recently, thanks to the ability of Julius to plan a surprise proposal without the Olympian having any clue.
"We’re planning a simple private wedding in Mount Costa in Baguio. The place doesn’t really matter as long as God is there and our loved ones," Hidilyn said during an interview with Dolly Anne Carvajal for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

She did not disclose any specific detail except that she wanted her honeymoon to be in Europe. The gold medalist believes that being in Europe would take them away from the rest of the world and they could have that special time for themselves to plan for their future, reported Push.
She also stated that she wanted to have two kids, one girl and one boy. However, her fiancé has another plan in mind as the Olympian revealed that he wants to have six boys for their children.
Nevertheless, she said that any child God would give them is a blessing.
"A boy and a girl. But Julius wants six boys! Good luck to me (laughs). But whatever God gives us, a baby is a blessing," the Olympian said.
In a report by Rappler, Hidilyn mentioned that her fiancé makes her life easy.
Hidilyn Francisco Diaz, an Air Force Staff Sergeant and Pinay weightlifter, is the first Filipino to bring home an Olympic Gold Medal. She also holds an Olympic weightlifting record in the women’s 55kg division, which she achieved during the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
Hidilyn Diaz took to Instagram and expressed what she may have felt before the big proposal came. The Olympic champion said that she was even trying to make pa-cute, as she didn't know that her boyfriend would be proposing. She was wearing a cute floral rose-colored dress, which complemented her wonderfully. On the same night, the proposal came and the video even showed that there was a sense of disbelief, and overflowing happiness all at once.
Hidilyn Diaz and strength coach Julius Naranjo has spread “kilig” vibes after they announced that they are now engaged. Following the news, talent manager and broadcaster Noel Ferrer posted a video of Julius sharing the story behind the engagement ring he gave to Hidilyn. Julius conceptualized the stunning design of the ring with the help of Manila Diamond Studio. He likewise said that its design was inspired by his girlfriend’s Tokyo 2020 win.
