Senator Robin Padilla, for his part, voiced support for Senator Imee Marcos’ endorsement of Duterte’s presidential bid and floated the idea of a tandem between the two female leaders.

Padilla emphasized that such a partnership would represent strength, unity, and decisive leadership, adding that it could send a powerful signal to Filipinos about reconciliation and national direction.

Sara Duterte, widely known as Inday Sara, is a lawyer who currently serves as the 15th Vice President of the Philippines. She made history as the youngest individual and the third woman to hold the vice presidency, as well as the third leader from Mindanao to occupy the post. Before this, she led the Department of Education until mid-2024. As the daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, she built her political career in Davao City, where she served as its first female mayor and later as vice mayor for many years.

In another report, Vice President Sara Duterte officially launched her 2028 presidential bid during a press conference on February 18, 2026.
