Bayambang Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao took to social media to address body shamers who criticized her appearance after her recent photos went viral online.

The mayor responded to comments questioning her weight gain and complexion, clarifying that she recently gave birth and is still in the process of recovering. She explained that she is intentionally taking her time with postpartum weight loss and prioritizing healing, especially after experiencing several challenges in the past months. Mayor Niña also pointed out the cruelty of online bashers, calling out those who hide behind anonymous accounts to spread negativity.

“Haha I GAINED weight because I just gave birth 5 months ago, that’s what happened. Because a lot of comments are saying ‘what happened’! I just gave birth. Next why is my face so white? I don’t know, I don’t wear makeup I wear sunblock and my skincare. Hahaha these are some comments I get that make me LOL so hard. So to those asking anyare, Bakit ganyan? Pinabayaan ko sarili ko, no I’m not.. I’m trying my best to lose postpartum weight but I am not rushing it because so many things happened to me and I choose to heal first before anything:) what else? Nag ka stye ako ngayon.. hahahaha and of course lagi nakatatak na yang mic na yan haha Sobrang baduy na wala na bang bago?

Niña Jose-Quiambao is a former actress, model, and beauty queen who transitioned to public service after marrying former Bayambang mayor and businessman Cezar Quiambao. She currently serves as the Mayor of Bayambang, Pangasinan, and is known for her active involvement in community programs focused on health, education, and social welfare. As previously reported by KAMI, Niña Jose Quiambao revealed in a social media post that she suffered second-degree burns after a mishap while doing “suob.” In her detailed post, the 32-year-old actress explained that she began self-medicating and performing the steam ritual out of paranoia. Unfortunately, because of her clumsiness, the basin of hot water accidentally spilled onto her thighs.

In a separate update, Niña Jose uploaded a new vlog featuring her husband, Cezar Quiambao. In the video, the couple took on the popular “How Well Do You Know Your Partner” challenge.
