Despite the loss, Supsup remained poised and thankful. She took to social media to share her reflections, writing, “We have already won, because we never lost who we are.” She emphasized that throughout her campaign, she and her team chose “integrity over shortcuts, truth over convenience, and compassion over division.”
“This was never just about a position,” she added, “it was about proving that dignity, honesty, and heart still have a place in public service.” Supsup also expressed gratitude to those who stood by her, ending her post with, “Thank you for walking with me.”
Her campaign was marked by a strong stance on ethical leadership. Just weeks before the election, Supsup made headlines for resigning from the slate of Pasig mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya. The move came after congressional candidate Ian Sia, part of the same ticket, made lewd jokes about single mothers during a campaign sortie. Supsup’s departure was widely seen as a principled stand, further solidifying her image as a values-driven leader.
