Dantes posted photos of their recent coffee catch-up and wrote:
“After a busy afternoon picking up my kids from school yesterday, I decided to catch up with a good friend and one of my mentors in public service — Bam Aquino — over hot chocolate and coffee. With the final stretch of his campaign coming up, I wanted to personally wish him well and hear how he’s doing.”
He reminisced about their shared history, stating: “Bam and I go way back — I’ve known him since grade school, when we still called him ‘Bam-bam.’ Since 2014, we’ve stood side by side advocating for youth-centered policies and even hosted a few shows together over the years — #DongBam! AsenShow, Haha!”

Dantes highlighted Aquino’s qualities, noting: “But beyond all that, what I’ve always respected and admired about Bam is his integrity, consistency, clear vision, and a track record that speaks for itself — all anchored by a genuine heart for service.”
Reflecting on their current roles as fathers, he added: “Now that we’re both fathers, our conversations naturally drift toward family — our kids, and the future we hope to help shape for them. It’s always reassuring to catch up with friends who stay true to their purpose and continue to find ways to turn hope into action.”
He concluded his post with a heartfelt sentiment:
”Some of the best moments are simple: a warm merienda, a few shared laughs, and a quiet reminder of why we keep doing what we do.”
In response, Bam Aquino expressed his gratitude in the comments:
“Thank you, bro! Salamat sa tiwala at suporta mula noon hanggang ngayon. Grateful to be on this mission, to be men for others and serve with a heart, with you, brother! Ipanalo natin to!”
