In the trending interview, Karen was teased by the senator, saying she is glad that the broadcaster is still in the Philippines and not yet migrating.
Nay Cristy, in the latest episode of Cristy Ferminute, then reacted to Karen’s response to Imee.
“Mabuti, si Karen ang isinagot na lang niya, '(Hoping) always for the best for the country.' Kasi naisip niya siguro bisita niya kahit pa malayuan si Sen. Imee, at kapag may bisita tayo, nirerespeto natin yung iniimbitahan natin. Pero ako naman, naniniwala rin na yung bisita dapat nirerespeto rin yung may-ari ng bahay. Kaya dapat, nagrespetuhan sila.”
The veteran showbiz columnist then claimed that Karen is known for being “negang magtanong.”
“Ang disadvantage lang ni Karen dito, nakakahon kasi siya e doon sa negang magtanong. Naalala mo 'yung kay Alma Moreno, yung talaga ipinahiya niya si Nes. Dapat kasi kapag ikaw yung nag-iinterview, alam mo rin ang kapasidad nung kinakausap mo.”
“Yun siguro ay isang magandang punto na dapat ding matanim kay Karen,” Cristy added.

Karen Davila is a journalist, radio broadcaster, newsreader and television presenter in the Philippines. She is best known for her news programs on ABS-CBN and ANC. Karen has been praised for being frank and courageous when interviewing public figures including powerful politicians.
Karen recenty set the record straight with regards to the viral interview that she had with Sen. Imee Marcos. In a post, she revealed that she did not get irked or irritated by the senator's statement. She also revealed that the senator sent her an apology text after the show.
Previously, Karen appealed to everyone through Twitter not to erase history. She said that moving forward does not mean erasing the history of the country. The news anchor also emphasized that recognizing the wrongs committed in the past and also demanding accountability is not synonymous to being against a united country.
