China commits working with Philippines under Bongbong Marcos, as per its embassy

- China’s embassy in Manila said on Wednesday that the Asian giant will continue to work with the Philippines under its presumptive president Ferdinand Marcos Jr

- It was revealed in a statement quoting China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian

- Marcos Jr’s previously stated that he will be pursuing a continuation of President Rodrigo Duterte's policies toward China

- As of this posting, Comelec’s partial and unofficial count shows Marcos Jr. garnering over 31 million votes from 98.32 percent of election returns

China’s embassy in Manila has recently vowed to continue working with the Philippines under its presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

According to Reuters, a statement quoting China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said that China will remain committed to a friendship with its neighbor to focus on post-COVID growth, expand win-win cooperation, and bring more tangible benefits to peoples of both countries.

In a report by PhilStar.com, Marcos Jr’s previous statements indicate that he will be pursuing a continuation of President Rodrigo Duterte's policies toward China including bilateral talks with the Asian giant on the West Philippine Sea.

Meanwhile, as per Inquirer.net, Marcos Jr’s camp declared on Wednesday his victory in the presidential elections, saying the Filipino people have “spoken decisively.”

Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, also popularly known as BBM, is a Pinoy politician famous for being the only son of the late President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos. He served as Ilocos governor from 1998 to 2007 and then as congressman after stepping down as governor. In 2010, He won a seat in the Philippine Senate.

A video of Bongbong Marcos along with his allies at Solaire has gone viral. Everyone was in a festive mood, and BBM could be seen in front smiling. The video also captured BBM's sister, Irene, happily hugging BBM's wife Liza Araneta. Some of the personalities in the video were holding glasses of wine, and everyone was just in a happy mood.

Toni Gonzaga also took to Instagram to express her joy for BBM. The celebrity mom also uploaded a video, where she can be seen hugging BBM. In her post, she likewise called the latter "President @bongbongmarcos".
