A white SUV was caught on camera fleeing a local gas station after the driver reportedly did not pay for fuel.
“It was shocking to see the vehicle just drive away without settling the bill,” says the gas station owner.
The incident occurred earlier this week when the driver filled up at the station and left abruptly.
The gas station management immediately reported the case to local authorities, emphasizing the need to hold the vehicle’s owner accountable.
“We consider this incident unfortunate and unacceptable,” adds the owner.
Authorities, including the police and the Land Transportation Office (LTO), are currently investigating the case. CCTV footage from the station clearly shows the SUV’s license plate, which will assist officials in tracking down the owner.

Motorist Lorie Sy recounted the tense encounter, saying, “I stayed locked inside my car while he repeatedly pulled on my door handle in the middle of traffic.” Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward to help locate Matados so he can receive necessary medical attention. Local health authorities are coordinating with police to ensure he gets proper care once found.
In a separate operation, agents from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in the CALABARZON region rescued 10 individuals from an alleged abusive situation at a resort in Laguna on February 19, 2026. The suspect is currently detained without bail and faces multiple charges under the Anti-Traffic*king in Persons Act and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. Authorities emphasized that the operation highlights the importance of vigilance from both law enforcement and the public to protect vulnerable individuals and hold perpetrators accountable.
