A routine commute turned into a scene of public alarm on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, as a group of young individuals engaged in a reckless physical dispute atop a moving public utility jeepney (PUJ) along the East Service Road.

The incident, which was caught on camera by a concerned bystander, has prompted a swift investigation by local law enforcement and barangay officials.

The video, which circulated rapidly over the weekend, depicts a chaotic scene near Barangay Western Bicutan during the early hours of the morning.

According to witness accounts, a large group was seen chasing the moving vehicle on foot. At the same time, three individuals were positioned dangerously on the roof of the jeepney, where they engaged in a physical confrontation while the vehicle continued its route.

Quil, a motorcyclist who witnessed the event, described the harrowing moment he realized the driver was unaware of the commotion happening directly above him.

"Nakita ko ang mga bata tumatakbo tapos ‘yung isang bata na mahaba 'yung buhok tumatakbo sa taas ng jeep, nagsusuntukan sila, lumalaban pa siya eh. Ang bilis ng takbo kasi kaya sabi ko sa jeepney driver na may nagsusuntukan para huminto siya," Quil shared in a local interview.

Once the jeepney came to a halt, the individuals on the roof jumped down, but the tension did not dissipate.

Witnesses reported that the group continued to pursue one individual and allegedly threw objects at the vehicle, causing brief panic among other motorists and delivery riders caught in the traffic flow.

The group eventually dispersed into the nearby side streets before authorities arrived.

Following the report, the Taguig Police and officials from Barangay Western Bicutan conducted a joint operation to identify those involved.

Police Captain Joel, spokesperson for the Taguig Police, noted that while such disturbances are rare in the area, the incident involved clear violations of local safety ordinances and public peace.

As of Sunday, at least two participants have been identified. Their parents and guardians were summoned to the barangay hall to address the gravity of the situation.

Authorities confirmed that the involved parties will undergo mandatory counseling sessions to prevent a recurrence of such life-threatening behavior on public roads.

In other news, a ninth-grade learner fell victim to a brutal physical assault carried out by a group of four individuals right outside a community hall in Sampaloc. Surveillance recordings captured the moment the attackers continued to strike and kick the young victim even after he was defenseless on the pavement. Reports indicate that a sharp object was nearly used during the fray, but the timely arrival of local officials prevented the situation from escalating further. Law enforcement has successfully detained three of the participants, including one underage suspect, while a manhunt remains active for the final person involved.
