A teenage student lost his life after a stabbing incident involving another minor inside a school in Floridablanca, Pampanga, authorities confirmed. The victim, aged 15, sustained a stab wound to the chest allegedly inflicted by a 16-year-old fellow student following a confrontation on campus.

According to a report aired on 24 Oras by GMA Regional TV, police investigators said the two students figured in an argument that intensified into a physical fight.

When they were eventually separated, the older student reportedly retrieved a bladed weapon from his bag and attacked the younger teen.

Emergency responders brought the wounded student to a hospital in an effort to save his life.

Despite medical intervention, he later died from the injury, deepening concern over violence involving minors within school premises.

Because both individuals involved are under 18, the matter has been formally referred to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for appropriate intervention and legal processing.

Authorities confirmed that a homi*cide complaint has been filed against the 16-year-old suspect, who is currently staying at a government-run shelter under the custody of the Floridablanca local government.

Efforts are ongoing to obtain statements from the victim’s family as well as from the camp of the accused minor.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the altercation, while local officials stress the importance of conflict resolution programs and strengthened safety measures inside schools to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

In a separate development, a troubling viral video captured a Filipina being assaulted by a foreign man inside a shopping mall in Singapore, prompting widespread public concern. The Department of Migrant Workers confirmed that its labor attaché has already contacted the victim and is providing assistance. “Medical assistance is the most basic there, and of course, filing of the complaint, our lawyer would stand ready to help her,” said Hans Cacdac. Authorities are classifying the case as physical assault and are coordinating with Singaporean officials to ensure the victim receives appropriate medical care, legal aid, and due process as the investigation moves forward to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

Meanwhile, concern also spread among residents of Barangay Mayamot in Antipolo after CCTV footage showed a man entering a family’s bedroom and rummaging through their belongings while they were asleep on February 8, 2026. Homeowner Mary Rose Bustamante reported that mobile phones, wallets, and more than ₱20,000 in cash were stolen during the break-in. Some of the missing bags were later recovered in a nearby alley, but the cash has yet to be found. Police identified the suspect as a local resident previously linked to burglary and carnapping, leading to intensified operations aimed at locating him and preventing similar incidents within the community.
