The filing of two counts of murder was announced Tuesday by the Quezon City Police District after prosecutors determined there was sufficient basis to proceed with the case.
In a statement, police said the suspects—identified as “Christian,” “Pia Katrina,” and “Gil”—were charged following a detailed investigation that established strong initial evidence.
"After an in-depth and thorough investigation, the suspects, identified as ‘Christian,’ ‘Pia Katrina,’ and ‘Gil,’ have been formally charged with two counts of murder, with no bail recommended, after the investigating prosecutor finds prima facie evidence with reasonable certainty of conviction against them," the district police office said.

Meanwhile, “Maribel,” the sister of Christian who was previously considered a suspect, will now serve as an ordinary witness in the case.
Complaints against Diane’s former husband, Police Senior Master Sergeant John Mollenido, were also dismissed after authorities granted a motion removing his name from the list of respondents.
Police leadership emphasized their determination to secure accountability for the deaths.
"We are deeply committed to bringing justice to PSMS Diane Marie Mollenido and her young son, John Ysmael. While their loss is irreplaceable, we will continue to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions," said Randy Glenn Silvio.
Investigators earlier reported that Diane’s body was found on January 24 along Pulilan Bypass Road in Bulacan with a gunshot wound to the head.
Five days later, the child’s body was discovered in a calamansi plantation in Victoria, Tarlac. Police believe the killings stemmed from a failed car sale transaction in Quezon City on January 16.
