Video footage showed the victim lying on the road and writhing in pain after being shot in the hip. Initial police findings indicated that the victim’s motorcycle was parked when another motorcycle carrying three men stopped behind him. The suspects then forcibly took his motorcycle key and bag.
“Wallet, cellphone, lahat ng cards niya nandoon, mga ID niya. Binaril pa siya dito sa may singit. Nakatakas na po 'yung mga suspek. Then naglapitan 'yung mga tao,” said the victim’s wife.
The attackers also fled with the victim’s motorcycle. According to his wife, the victim did not immediately recognize the danger and believed the encounter was a joke.

“Nilapitan siya. Sabi niya, ‘Akin na ‘to, akin na ‘to.’ So siya, parang na-culture shock siya na ‘Ano ‘to, prank ba ‘to?’ Kasi wala namang [nagsabi] na ‘Hold up ‘to,’” she added.
Moments later, one of the suspects drew a gun and shot the victim. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery due to severe pelvic damage.
“Napuruhan 'yung pelvic niya. Sira talaga. So kailangan talaga ng hip replacement,” his wife said.
Police reported that CCTV footage showed one suspect wearing a white shirt and white helmet, while the two companions were both in jackets. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the identities and whereabouts of the suspects.
In other developments, a male motorcyclist and his female companion were rushed to the hospital early Wednesday after a violent collision with a commercial van along a major road in Quezon City. The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound lane as the passenger van was heading toward the Fairview area. Responders found the male rider unconscious at the scene, while his companion was discovered about 20 meters away, reportedly thrown by the impact. Traffic investigators are now examining the crash site to establish responsibility, and the van driver has been taken into custody for questioning and further procedures.
In a separate incident, security camera footage from a Manila neighborhood captured a disorderly confrontation involving around 25 youths chasing one another and hurling objects. The commotion unfolded late Tuesday night and temporarily disrupted traffic along Lacson Avenue as the group spilled onto the roadway. Police later apprehended two minors, aged 14 and 16, for their alleged involvement in the disturbance. Community officials said they plan to intensify nighttime patrols and urged parents to closely supervise their children’s activities.
