The quiet community of Purok-4B in Barangay Buayan, M’lang, Cotabato, was rocked by a grisly discovery in the early hours of Tuesday. What initially seemed like a terrifying home invasion turned into a heartbreaking case of domestic tragedy. Around 12:40 AM, the local PNP hotline received a call from a distressed 66-year-old woman reporting that her husband had been brutally attacked.

According to the report from the Cotabato Police Provincial Office, the wife initially told investigators a harrowing story. She claimed that while she was sleeping in their bedroom, she was jolted awake by the sound of her husband’s voice. She described hearing her mister screaming for help, followed by a series of loud, crashing noises coming from outside their house.
Pàralyzed by fear, the woman claimed she stayed hidden for several minutes. When she finally gathered the courage to check the living room, she was met with a nightmare. Her husband was sprawled on the floor, lifeless. The attack was so violent that his internal organs were reportedly exposed due to the severity of the stab wounds.
However, as the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) arrived to process the area, the narrative began to crumble. Investigators noticed two major red flags: there were absolutely no signs of forced entry—no broken windows or picked locks—and there was visible blood on the wife’s feet.

This law emphasizes the sacredness of family bonds, making the punishment more severe than standard hòmicide.
Authorities in M’lang are still digging deeper to understand what drove a 66-year-old woman to commit such a violent act against her partner. For now, the suspect remains behind bars as the legal process begins.
