The altercation, which aired on GTV News Balitanghali on Tuesday, showed two drivers engaging in a fistfight along a busy road. At one point, one of the men collapsed after being punched by the other, who also managed to seize a baseball bat the first driver had been holding.
According to the video uploader, the dispute stemmed from a road squeeze, a common source of tension among motorists. Although the two drivers initially separated, the situation worsened when onlookers allegedly taunted them, prompting both men to resume fighting. The clash continued until one of them lost consciousness.

The Land Transportation Office said it is requiring both drivers to submit written explanations regarding their behavior, particularly the disruption caused by the fight and the possession of a baseball bat inside a vehicle. Carrying such an object, officials noted, can pose a serious threat during heated confrontations on the road.
Further investigation revealed that one of the vehicles involved in the incident had an expired registration at the time of the altercation. As a result of the violations, the LTO confirmed that the driver’s licenses of both motorists have been suspended.
Authorities reminded the public that road rage incidents not only endanger those involved but also other motorists and pedestrians, urging drivers to remain calm and exercise restraint while on the road.

In a separate incident, a 46-year-old traffic enforcer was killed in a road accident in Barangay Barra, Opol on January 18, 2026. The impact caused the sedan to veer into a parking area, where five parked motorcycles were damaged. Authorities said the sedan driver was released on Monday, January 19, after an amicable settlement was reached with the victim’s family and the owners of the damaged motorcycles.
