Gil Valdemoro Dy Jr., 41, said he voluntarily turned himself in to give his account and clear his conscience.

Dy told investigators that the killings took place inside the Novaliches, Quezon City home of the two other suspects.

These were identified as 29-year-old car dealer Pia Katrina Panganiban and her brother, 44-year-old former policeman Christian Suarez Panganiban. Dy said he was contacted on the night of January 16 and was asked to come to the location.

“On the night of the 16th, they called me,” Dy said.
“At around 12 o'clock in the evening, I went inside the house,” he added.

According to Dy, he was instructed to stay in the garage upon arrival. Moments later, he heard gunshots coming from inside the house.

When he asked what was happening, he claimed Suarez Panganiban asked him to help with a task involving the child.

“It was a kid, he was being wrapped,” Dy said. “He was dead. It was hard for me to do it,” he added.

Dy insisted he did not take part in the killings and said he only became aware of what had happened afterward.

He maintained that his conscience is clear, noting that he is also a parent.

The victims were last seen on January 16 after allegedly meeting a car agent for a vehicle transaction.

They were reported missing on January 19. Mollenido’s body was found on January 24 along Pulilan Bypass Road in Bulacan, while her son’s remains were discovered five days later at a calamansi farm in Victoria, Tarlac.

Police trace SUV used in brutal killing of police officer, her son; suspects arrested

Police earlier confirmed the arrest of PSMS John Mollenido, the husband of the slain policewoman, who is now facing inquest proceedings as a suspect.

In other developments, a 54-year-old passenger was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after being shot by aviation police at an airport in Iloilo. Authorities said the incident occurred at the pre-departure screening area when X-ray scanners detected a bladed weapon concealed in the man’s carry-on bag. The suspect, identified as a security guard from Camiguin, allegedly refused to surrender the weapon and instead attempted to attack Police Executive Master Sgt. Dixon Zabala. The officer responded by firing a single shot that struck the suspect in the shoulder. The man remains confined under tight security, while prosecutors prepare to file charges of attempted ho*micide and direct assault against a person in authority.

Meanwhile, social workers have stepped in to take custody of a one-year-old girl who was found crawling along the busy Tabalong highway in Dauis earlier this week. Police said their investigation indicates the child was deliberately placed in danger by her mother, who allegedly hoped the act would pressure her partner into staying home for the toddler’s first birthday. The infant has since been temporarily placed under the care of her paternal grandfather as the Department of Social Welfare and Development carries out a safety assessment and psychological evaluation of both parents. The mother is now under investigation for possible violations of the Child Maltreatment Law, or Republic Act 7610, following widespread public outrage triggered by the incident.
