A chilling discovery disturbed the peace in Silang, Cavite, on Wednesday morning after a man's body was found abandoned by the roadside. The victim, who remains unidentified, was stuffed inside two animal feed sacks and left in Sitio Ilaya, Karsadahang Silangan, Barangay Kaong.

The grim find was made by a passing motorist who noticed a "kahina-hinalang bagay" or a suspicious object along the road. Sensing something was wrong, the motorist immediately informed the Punong Barangay through the Chief Tanod. By 8:50 a.m., the Silang Municipal Police Station (MPS) received the report and sent a team to verify the situation.

Upon opening the sacks, officers were shocked to find the body of a man tucked inside. According to the police, the victim is estimated to be around 40 to 55 years old. He was found wearing only maroon shorts and had no shirt or any personal identification on him. No other belongings were found at the scene that could help determine who he was.

The Forensic Unit has already processed the area, and the body will undergo an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the victim was killed elsewhere and that Sitio Ilaya was merely used as a dumping ground to hide the crime.

Silang is a first-class municipality in Cavite often known for its cool climate and agricultural lands.
