According to reports from ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, January 27, the trouble began when one of the six male students allegedly pressed the doorbell of the suspect’s house. The group was reportedly in the area to pick up a friend. While the act may have been seen as a harmless prank by the teens, the homeowner did not take it lightly.
When the group returned later that evening to drop off their friend using a car, the suspect was already waiting. Investigators say the man rained bullets on the vehicle using a caliber .45 pistol. The driver of the car managed to speed away immediately to escape the gunfire. Despite the car being hit by several bullets, all six students were luckily unharmed.

Lipa City police quickly launched a follow-up operation, leading to the arrest of the suspect. During the operation, authorities were able to recover the handgun used in the shooting. The suspect is now in police custody and is facing serious legal consequences, including charges of attempted murder and Violation of RA 7610, especially since some of the victims involved are minors.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of how small disputes or neighborhood pranks can escalate into deadly confrontations when firearms are involved. Gun ownership in the Philippines is strictly regulated, and authorities continue to remind citizens that using a firearm outside of self-defense or without immediate threat is a grave criminal offense.
A tense confrontation ended in a shooting after a man carrying an LPG tank reportedly entered a private yard without permission. The homeowner, fearing for his safety, allegedly fired at the intruder during the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances to determine if the shooting was a case of self-defense or if the homeowner will face criminal charges.
Police have taken a man into custody following the tragic death of his brother-in-law during a heated dispute. The investigation suggests that a long-standing personal grudge may have led to the fatal encounter between the two relatives. The suspect is now facing murder charges as the victim’s family seeks justice for the untimely loss of their loved one.
