A motorcycle rider died on the spot after a truck struck his vehicle along a curved portion of a zigzag road in Antipolo City, Rizal, on Monday.

Authorities confirmed that the rider’s passenger was also injured and is currently recovering in the hospital.
According to a report by "GTV News Balitanghali," video footage showed the moment the truck hit the motorcycle on the right side of the larger vehicle.
The impact caused the rider to be pulled underneath the truck, while the passenger was also run over during the collision.

Rescue personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene, but efforts to retrieve the rider proved difficult due to his position beneath the truck.
Emergency responders worked carefully to free the victim, but he was later declared dead at the scene. The passenger, who suffered severe injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the accident occurred on a sharp curve, a section of the road known to be challenging for motorists, particularly those navigating the area at higher speeds or with limited visibility.
Authorities have yet to release further details on whether road conditions or driver error contributed to the crash.
Following the incident, police facilitated a discussion between the involved parties.
According to authorities, the owner of the truck agreed to shoulder the burial expenses of the deceased rider and cover the medical costs of the injured passenger.
