According to a report by Philippine Star, the incident occurred at approximately 12:05 AM on January 9, 2026, at Axis Ville in Barangay Tagpos. According to the Binangonan Municipal Police Station, the victim, identified only as alias “Ark,” was enjoying a party with friends. Also in attendance was the suspect, 21-year-old alias “Jom,” and his girlfriend, alias “Jina Mae.”
Reports state that as the party wound down, the suspect and his girlfriend left the venue together. However, Jina Mae soon came running back to the party in tears, begging her friends for help because Jom was reportedly harassing and fighting with her.
Moments later, Jom followed her back to the house. This time, he was not just angry—he was armed with a butcher knife. Witnesses say he tried to force Jina Mae to leave with him, despite her obvious fear and refusal. Seeing the danger his friend was in, the young Ark stepped in to intervene and pacify the suspect.

The situation escalated instantly. Jom allegedly swung the butcher knife, hitting Ark directly in the forehead. Despite the gruesome injury, the brave teenager managed to engage in a brief fistfight with the suspect before collapsing and losing consciousness. Seizing the moment of chaos, the suspect fled the scene into the night.
Ark’s friends rushed him to the Rizal Provincial Hospital-Angono Annex, but it was too late. Medical staff declared him dead on arrival.
