Ayon sa ulat ni James Paulo Yap sa GMA Regional TV sa "GMA News 24 Oras," nangyari ang insidente noong December 29 sa panulukan ng 8th Street at Hayes Street habang sakay siya ng pickup truck.

Kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan ng Regional Civil Security kung ang baril ay totoong armas o laruan.

“Usually daw, pinapakita niya [ang baril]. Nagdadala siya ng toy gun para panakot sa beggar dahil nabiktima na raw siya,” sabi ni Police Captain Emilite Simon, spokesperson ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Office.

Ipinabatid din ng opisyal na ang sasakyan ay naka-alarm na at nabigyan na ang may-ari nito ng 90-day suspension order.

Samantala, naglabas na ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) Northern Mindanao ng show cause order laban sa driver at sa nakarehistrong pangalan ng sasakyan.

“Hindi ka dapat maglabas ng baril. Anong gusto mong ipakita, manakot ka? May pagka-road rage… Kapag road rage usually, revocation agad ang penalty niyan eh,” ayon kay LTO Region X Director Nelson Manaloto.

Dahil sa insidente, posible nang masuspinde o tuluyang ma-revoke ang lisensya ng babae, habang patuloy na iniimbestigahan ng awtoridad ang lahat ng detalye sa viral na pangyayari.

In a previous local report by KAMI, a family composed of three members was brutally gunned down inside their store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. CCTV footage captured three men entering the establishment, pulling down the roll-up door, and then shooting the entire family until they were killed. Before escaping, one of the suspects was seen taking a bag and a cellphone owned by the victims. According to Gary De Leon of TV5 Frontline Pilipinas, the family had begun receiving threats after they lent P1 million to a barangay resident, who allegedly used the money to fund a business.

In a separate local incident that also went viral, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her husband. Based on the report of EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the crime took place inside the school’s faculty room. Police said a security guard was stationed at the school, but the suspect, being a familiar figure, was able to enter and leave the premises without difficulty. The 38-year-old suspect claimed he went to the school to speak with his wife and resolve their problems, but the encounter reportedly escalated into a serious argument that led to the stabbing.
