In an earlier report by KAMI, a family of three was shot dead inside their own store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. CCTV footage showed three men entering the shop, pulling down the roll-up door, and opening fire on the victims until all of them were killed. Before fleeing the scene, one of the suspects was seen taking a bag and a cellphone belonging to the family. According to Gary De Leon of TV5 Frontline Pilipinas, the victims had allegedly been receiving threats after lending ₱1 million to a barangay resident who was said to have used the money to start a business.
In a separate incident that also drew widespread attention online, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed several times by her husband. Based on a report by EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the attack happened inside the school’s faculty room. Authorities said there was a security guard on duty at the time, but the suspect was able to enter and leave the school without raising suspicion because he was known to people on the premises. The 38-year-old man told police that he went to the school to talk to his wife in an attempt to fix their marital issues, but their discussion reportedly turned into a heated argument that ended in violence.
