In a previous KAMI report, the Bureau of Customs was said to be stepping up its examination of the importation of about 40 luxury vehicles allegedly connected to the family of Sarah Discaya. The review reportedly gained momentum after an interview featuring the family’s collection of high-end cars went viral online. Authorities noted that they are closely checking import paperwork, shipping details, and the names of declared consignees to assess whether any customs rules were violated. Public attention on the matter has continued to rise, especially as Discaya has also been linked to contractors involved in flood control projects that are now under scrutiny in the Senate. Separately, reports also confirmed the passing of former Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Catalina Cabral, adding to a series of notable national developments.
Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas became a talking point on social media after sharing a photo from her recent trip to Disneyland. Some interpreted it as a playful nod to earlier comments made by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, while others viewed it simply as a humorous remark.
