As of Tuesday, December 30, authorities said they were still in the process of reaching out to Doyel’s family abroad.

Police noted that coordination with the victim’s relatives is necessary to formally inform them of the incident and to determine arrangements following his death.

Initial findings from the investigation revealed that Doyel worked as a home-based call center agent while residing in Cebu City.

Investigators also disclosed that he had been dealing with several health-related concerns prior to his death. In addition, police said the victim was known in the area to regularly consume alcoholic beverages.

Based on the condition of the body and other indicators at the scene, authorities believe that Doyel may have died two to three days before he was discovered.

No immediate signs of foul play were reported, though standard procedures were followed during the scene examination.

Police said further verification is ongoing as part of the routine investigation. Updates are expected once coordination with the victim’s family is completed and additional details are confirmed.
