Kitty Duterte touched many on social media after posting a deeply personal message on Instagram about spending Christmas away from her father for the first time in her life.

In her caption, she reflected on how the holiday felt different this year, marking a significant emotional moment for the 21-year-old.
She opened her message by sharing, "This is the first Christmas in my 21 years that I’ve spent away from my Papa Rody."
Kitty then looked back on memories from her childhood, recalling how their shared habit of staying up late became a quiet tradition between them.

She wrote, "Even as a child, I was always a nocturnal like him."
Kitty went on to describe how she would wait for her father in the living room until the early hours of the morning, a routine that strengthened their bond.
Addressing him directly, she said, "Papa, whatever you are doing, I know you are still awake by now."
She also credited her father for shaping her character, writing, "The greatest gift God has ever given me is a strong Papa, who molded me into an even stronger woman."
The post further revealed how much she sees herself in her father, both inside and out.
Kitty shared, "You always laugh when you look at me and tell me it’s because of how alike we are."
