In an emotional interview, Jose disputed the initial reports released by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) suggesting that Sherra was experiencing "financial and emotional distress" due to her father's medical bills and wedding expenses. Jose emphasized that his health has never been a financial burden to his daughter.

“Sa totoo lang yung sa gastusin namin, bago dumating itong pangyayaring ito ay tapos na yun. Sa gastusin namin, sa gamot, walang problema yun kasi senior ako… Ang ginagastos lang ng anak ko ay pamasahe,” he explained. He further stressed that they had even set aside money to build a house after the wedding, making the claims of financial struggle far from the truth.

The story of Sherra De Juan began as a happy preparation for her big day. On December 10, she said goodbye to go buy shoes at a mall only two kilometers away from their home. However, hours turned into days, and Sherra never returned. The wedding day on December 14, which was supposed to be a celebration, was instead filled with tears and desperate searching.

Jose also appealed to social media users to be more sensitive with their comments, particularly those attacking Sherra's fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes. “Sana po ayusin niyo naman po ang mga comment ninyo… masakit din sa amin kasi yung mga sinasabi ninyo walang katotohanan kasi hindi ninyo alam yung pangyayari,” Jose said.

With his birthday approaching on December 25, Jose has no other wish but to see his daughter again. In a message directed at Sherra, he pleaded: “Anak, kung nakikinig ka sa panawagan kong ito… bumalik ka dito anak, hindi kami nagagalit sayo.”

Currently, the family remains in close coordination with authorities. There are reports that Sherra was last seen being dropped off by a bus along NIA Road near East Avenue. Mark Arjay has appealed to motorists with dashcams who passed that area on the afternoon of December 10 to help them with any possible leads.

The case of Sherra remains under intense investigation as the mystery behind her disappearance deepens. Below are the previous reports regarding the QCPD's investigation and the side of her loved ones:

In this report, authorities released the results of the digital forensic exam on Sherra’s devices. According to the police, messages were found indicating that the bride-to-be was worried about hospital bills and wedding preparations. This information sparked online speculation that Sherra might have intentionally left due to the pressure.
