The fatal crash occurred along the highway in Barangay Maluanluan at around 5:30 p.m., according to police investigators.
Authorities said a van traveling at high speed rammed a motorcycle carrying a couple and their young son.
The victims were identified as a 34-year-old woman, her 35-year-old husband who was driving the motorcycle, and their 10-year-old son.

All three were residents of Barangay Pahilahan in Pola and were declared dead on arrival at Grace Mission Hospital.
Based on the investigation, the father was taking his wife and child to a transport terminal bound for Calapan City when their motorcycle was struck from behind by the van.
The impact was so strong that the victims were thrown onto the road, while their motorcycle was completely wrecked.
The van veered off course and ended up in a roadside gutter after also hitting several parked tricycles and motorcycles.
The van was driven by a 39-year-old man who claimed he was on his way to pick up his wife in the town of Socorro.
He told authorities that another motorcycle hit the rear of his vehicle, forcing him to brake suddenly, which caused the van to spin and collide with the motorcycle ahead.
However, police said their findings contradicted this account.
PMaj. Florante Sugian II, chief of the Pola Municipal Police Station, said there was no evidence that another motorcycle struck the van. CCTV footage instead showed that the van was overspeeding on the rain-slicked road at the time of the crash.
Aside from the fatalities, a 59-year-old woman was injured after being hit by debris while shopping at a nearby store.
The van driver has been arrested and is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple ho*micide and damage to property.
In a previous report by KAMI, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) was reported to be looking into around 40 luxury vehicles allegedly connected to the family of Sarah Discaya. The review followed a viral interview in which Discaya displayed their collection of high-end cars. Authorities are set to check importation records, particularly identifying the listed consignees, to determine whether any violations may have occurred. Discaya has also been associated with contractors involved in flood control projects that are now under scrutiny by the Senate. More recently, reports confirmed the death of former Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Catalina Cabral.
Meanwhile, Korina Sanchez-Roxas drew attention after sharing a post on her Instagram account. The photo showed her posing in front of a palace-like structure during a visit to Disneyland. In a playful tone, Korina made a light reference to a past controversy in her caption. She opened her post with the line "My P10 Million Palace," which many interpreted as a subtle nod to allegations earlier raised against her by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
