New details have emerged in the search for Sherra De Juan, the 30-year-old bookkeeper who went missing just days before her December 14 wedding. According to Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, an initial digital forensic examination of Sherra's electronic devices revealed she may have been struggling privately.

"Based on the digital forensic examination, it appears that Ms. Sherra has been experiencing emotional distress and financial problems due to her father's medical condition and financial problems for her forthcoming wedding," Silvio stated.
Even more concerning, police found that prior to her disappearance on December 10, Sherra had conducted sensitive online searches as well.
"Furthermore, it has been revealed that prior to her disappearance, Sherra conducted online searches on med*cation that could cause death, the effects of overd*sing on certain dr*gs and similar content," Silvio shared, adding that the QCPD is treating the case with "utmost seriousness and sensitivity."

However, her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes—who was previously named a person of interest as part of standard procedure—refuted these findings. In ABS-CBN's report, he clarified that their wedding expenses were fully settled and that her father’s medical needs were covered by insurance.
"Wala kaming gastos diyan ni piso... Sobra-sobra po kami ng budget sa kasal. Hindi po siya financially distressed," Mark claimed.
As the investigation continues, police remain hopeful that Sherra is still alive. They are continuing to backtrack CCTV footage, including a potential sighting of her boarding a bus on Commonwealth Avenue.

As previously reported by KAMI, the week-long search for a 10-year-old girl in Bataraza, Palawan ended in tragedy after her body was discovered in a creek in Barangay Bulalacao. Prior to her disappearance, the victim had joined her friends on November 29 to sell vegetables at the market, a routine activity that unexpectedly turned into the last time she was seen alive. According to her friends, “the suspect dropped us off in the población… but took the victim with him." Authorities have already taken the suspect into custody on murder charges, while an autopsy is being prepared to determine the exact cause of death as well.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old security guard was discovered lifeless in Talakag, Bukidnon, after leaving home to look for a missing cow. Police say the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the head and stab injuries on his back. The victim’s mother found his body the morning after he was last seen alive. Authorities continue investigating as the family cannot identify anyone who may have had a conflict with him.
