Mark Arjay Reyes spoke calmly about the development, emphasizing that his primary concern is the progress of the case and the continued search for his partner, Sherra De Juan.

Sherra was reported missing on December 10, just days before she was set to walk down the aisle.

Her sudden disappearance sparked widespread concern and prompted an intensive investigation by Quezon City police.

Reyes recently learned that he had been tagged as a person of interest, a designation police say is meant to aid fact-finding and clarify timelines.

In response, he said he holds no resentment toward authorities and understands the need for thorough inquiries.

"Okay lang po sa akin. Basta gumulong ang imbestigasyon at masiguro yung agarang paghahanap kay mahal," says Reyes.

Police officials reiterated that a person of interest is not automatically considered a suspect.

Instead, the label allows investigators to ask further questions and verify information that may be crucial in locating the missing woman.

Authorities have maintained that all leads are being carefully evaluated, including CCTV footage and digital evidence linked to Sherra’s final known activities.

Friends and relatives of the bride-to-be continue to hope for her safe return, with many expressing sympathy for both families affected by the situation.

Supporters have also taken to social media to spread awareness and encourage anyone with information to coordinate with law enforcement.

As the investigation continues, Reyes said he remains cooperative and hopeful.

He added that his only wish is for Sherra to be found as soon as possible, stressing that uncovering the truth matters more to him than addressing speculation surrounding his name.

In other news, a 20-year-old woman living on the streets was apprehended by Quezon City police for her involvement in the December 10 abduction of a 19-month-old girl named Kiana Jane. Although the primary suspect is now behind bars, the toddler has not yet been found, leaving her parents in a state of desperation as the search continues across Novaliches. The abduction occurred after the suspect befriended the child's parents outside a shop, offering to buy them a meal before disappearing with the infant while supposedly running an errand. Melvin Lorejas, the child’s father, has issued a tearful public appeal, begging for anyone with information or sightings of his daughter to contact the authorities or their family immediately.

Still in other news, a 28-year-old employee in Barangay Sipac-Almacen, Navotas, sustained serious injuries when her left arm was accidentally pulled into an industrial dough-rolling machine. The victim remained wedged in the heavy machinery for nearly sixty minutes while local residents frantically tried to dismantle the rollers using basic household tools. Members of the Navotas Fire Station’s elite rescue unit were ultimately required to use hydraulic extrication equipment, successfully freeing the woman’s limb within five minutes. Following her rescue, the woman was rushed to a medical facility after losing consciousness; her family reports that she is now dealing with extreme psychological trauma alongside physical swelling.
