Mark Arjay Reyes and Sherra De Juan were supposed to exchange vows on Sunday, December 14, at around 4:00 p.m., but the celebration never happened.

Four days earlier, Sherra, also known as Sarah, left home to buy the shoes she planned to wear on her wedding day.

Mark, a 31-year-old IT engineer, said his fiancée sent him a message at around 1:00 p.m. on December 10, telling him she was heading to Fairview Center Mall.

He recalled that she was especially cheerful that day after recently receiving her wedding gown.

Because Mark was at work, he was unable to join her. When he returned home later, concern quickly set in after realizing she had not come back.

He was also unable to reach her since she had left her cellphone charging at home.

As the hours passed, the worry intensified.

“Kinabahan na ako kasi sobrang tagal na 5 hours na mahigit,“ Mark said.

By early evening, Mark and Sherra’s family began seeking help from local authorities.

“Noong hindi po namin siya makita, mga I think 7 pm, pumunta na po kami ng Barangay North Fairview,“ he added.

CCTV footage later showed Sherra walking through an alley near their home at around 1:25 p.m. She was seen again minutes later crossing Atherton Street and was last captured on camera at a gasoline station at about 1:37 p.m.

However, footage from the mall where she planned to shop did not show her.

“Nagreview po kami ng mga cctv sa Fairview center mall, atleast tatlong CCTV footages pero wala po, mayroon po CCTV sa may entrance pero as per the management po ng mall is under maintenance po,” Mark said.

Mark stressed that there were no arguments or unresolved issues before her disappearance and credited Sherra with helping him grow as a person.

“Siya lang talaga yung nagpabago sa akin sir, siya yung nagtiyaga sa ugali ko, parang tiniyaga niya ako ng tiniyaga hanggang sa mag fit ako na partner sa kaniya hanggang sa mag-decide na kami magpakasal,” he said.

Overcome with emotion, Mark made a heartfelt appeal for her return.

“Mahal, Sherra, umuwi ka na, hindi lang naman ako yung naghihintay sa iyo, dami nagmamahal sa iyo, katrabaho mo, mama ilang araw ng walang tigil ang pag-iyak, papa mo, hinihintay ka namin dito,” he pleaded.

The couple had lived together for five years and decided to marry in 2023. As days pass without answers, Mark and both families continue to hope for Sherra’s safe return.

A quiet community in Davao City was left reeling after a 74-year-old man was killed by his own grandson. Relatives disclosed that the 27-year-old suspect had a history of aggressive behavior and had been confined several times in a mental health institution. Rather than filing criminal charges, the family chose to prioritize treatment and plans to have him placed under continued psychiatric care. The shocking incident has deeply unsettled neighbors, who are still struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

In a separate and equally troubling incident, an 18-year-old student died after unauthorized CCTV footage allegedly showing her taking ice cream without paying spread among local youths. Her family said the video’s circulation triggered intense feelings of shame, fear, and anxiety. Authorities have since lodged complaints against the store owner and a study room supervisor for possible breaches of privacy laws.
